He is a faculty with the Department of Education, University of Delhi since 1997. His research interests include Social Science, Education, Pedagogy of Political Science and Adolescence Education. After completing his Masters in Political Science, he did M.Ed. from University of Delhi. In subsequent years while pursuing his doctoral research he developed a framework of Sex Education Programme for school students. He has a first-hand experience of working as a teacher with government schools in Delhi for six years, which has contributed to his critical understanding of issues, trends and behaviours about Indian adolescents. He has been associated with many governmental (like Yuva Programme) and non governmental initiatives in the area of adolescence education.

दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय से शिक्षा ग्रहण की। राजकीय विद्यालय में टी.जी.टी. के रूप में अध्यापन प्रारंभ किया। सन् 1997 में दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के केंद्रीय शिक्षा संस्थान में नियुक्ति।
‘विद्यालयी शिक्षार्थियों के लिए यौन शिक्षा कार्यक्रम के प्रारूप का विकास’ विषय पर पी-एच.डी. की उपाधि प्राप्त।
विशेषज्ञता : सामाजिक विज्ञान शिक्षण, मार्गदर्शन एवं परामर्श, सेक्स एवं सुरक्षा शिक्षा।
शोध के क्षेत्र : मलिन बस्तियों के निवासी बच्चों की शिक्षा समस्याएँ, स्कूली छात्रों के लिए सेक्स शिक्षा, सामाजिक विज्ञान शिक्षा।
