"Acting, parties, alcohol and women-these four things had defined Martin's life. Shazia, however, was completely different from the women who usually populated his world. She was calm, sensible, stunningly beautiful and decent. Most importantly, she paid him absolutely no attention. Her indifference was driving Martin mad with desire, awakening something deep within his heart. Lighting a cigarette, he admitted to himself, ""I'm thinking about her a bit too much.""

His thoughts were interrupted when Dabbu came to call him for dinner.

""Hey, Dabbu... can you find out something about Shazia?""

""Have you lost your heart to her, Boss?""

""Oh, no... it's nothing like that. I just really like her.""

""Haha! Who could possibly resist your charm? She'll come to you on her own... like a ripe mango!""

""Dabbu, she isn't like that. She's different-completely different!""

""Yeah, she's absolutely perfect to become Mrs. D'Souza, man!"" Dabbu winked.

Was this really the effect of love? Martin wondered as an unfamiliar restlessness stirred within him."
