Description

"Some stories demand to be told. Not because they are extraordinary, but because they hold within them the weight of sacrifice, the quiet strength of those who stand in the shadows of heroism and the resilience of those who hold fort while their loved ones serve the nation.

This book is a heartfelt collection of reflections and real-life accounts from an author who has lived the armed forces life not as a soldier, but as the woman behind one. Coming from a civilian background, marriage to an army officer opened a world she had never known-a world of immense pride, silent struggles and an unbreakable bond of camaraderie.

With every new posting, she met men who had given their all on the battlefield, wives who turned grief into strength, and children who learned the meaning of sacrifice before they could even spell the word. She also realized something else-many outside this world had little understanding of what it meant to be part of a soldier's family.

For those who have lived this life, this book will be a mirror. For those who haven't, it will be an awakening."
