An Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer of 2009 Batch. Currently holding the post of Director, Professional Examination Board (PEB), Bhopal, since October, 2013. Prior to that worked as Additional Managing Director of State Renewable Development Corporation from June 2013 to May, 2014.

अंग्रेजी में I AM POSSIBLE के नाम से प्रकाशित उनके प्रथम उपन्यास ने अपार ख्याति अर्जित की और पहले सेल्फ हैल्प उपन्यास की श्रेणी में लोकप्रियता के शिखर को छुआ। तरुण पिथोड़े निरंतर समसामयिक विषयों पर ब्लॉग्स और लेख लिखते हैं।
