Dr. R.P. Gupta is a distinguished alumni of Maulana Azad. He was awarded a gold medal for standing first in the final year of MBBS and again for being the best outgoing doctor by Maulana Azad. A renowned cardiovascular surgeon, he has worked in numerous hospitals in India and abroad.
Interested in research he has contributed articles to many medical journals and presented papers in various international conferences and seminars. A life member of several Surgical and Cardio Thoracic Organisations and Societies he is also a founding member and fellow of Denton, A Cooley Cardiovascular Surgical Society.
Every year he travels to America and Australia to attend conferences in order to update his knowledge. A philanthropist by nature he has set up a charitable hospital named ‘Shanti Mukand Hospital’, in memory of his parents which he manages.
He received gold medals from Maulana Azad College and Hospital. He is also listed in Who’s Who of the world. Besides this he is the recipient of several awards for his achievements and recognized as Jewel, Gem and Pride of Country.
